Humminbird Receives “Large Industry of the Decade Award” By The Eufaula Barbour County Chamber of Commerce 


Humminbird, the pioneer in fish finder technology, has received the “Large Industry of the Decade Award” By The Eufaula Barbour County Chamber of Commerce for their rich history of operating in the State of Alabama. Founded in 1971, Humminbird was acquired by Johnson Outdoors in 2004 and has continued to lead the industry with cutting-edge products that cater to anglers of all levels. This award underscores Humminbird's commitment to innovation and quality, solidifying its position as a leader in the field.

At the Chamber of Commerce Centennial Director’s Reception in late April, several member organizations and individuals in the industry of the year, industry of the decade, small business, and employee categories were presented with awards of excellence. Eufaula’s Johnson Outdoors - Humminbird Marine Electronics division received the award that was accepted by General Manager Craig Packard.

“Humminbird and Johnson Outdoors Marine Electronics have long been innovators and leaders in the fish finder industry. They are truly ‘Made in Alabama’ and deserve our sincerest community appreciation,” said Clayton. “On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Eufaula Barbour County Chamber of Commerce, we extend our congratulations and best wishes to Craig and his amazing team at Humminbird.
