Okuma Fishing Tackle Supports The American Red Cross With Consumer Discount And Donation Opportunity!

The devastation to Northeast fishing communities caused by Hurricane Sandy is deeply saddening and incredibly unfortunate. As anglers, all of these people are members of our community, our neighbours across the country.

To lend support to those in need, we've created an opportunity that makes it easy to help.

Through December 15th, U.S. consumers can use the discount code SANDY on the Okuma Fishing Tackle website and receive 50% off the retail price of all in-stock Okuma branded apparel, as well as select reels identified as Hurricane Sandy Relief. Due to contract limitations, we are unable to offer this to our Canadian consumers. 

Throughout this period, 50% of your total purchase amount of the discounted items will be donated to the Red Cross and their efforts to help victims of Hurricane Sandy. 

For example, the Okuma hooded sweatshirt retails for $34.99. Using the discount code SANDY, the cost of the sweatshirt will be discounted to $17.50 + shipping.  Of the $17.50, Okuma will make a donation in the amount of $8.75 to the American Red Cross.

Your gift to 2012 Hurricanes and Other Related Storms will help the American Red Cross prepare for and respond to tropical activity such as Superstorm Sandy, and provide services such as food, shelter and emotional support to those impacted across the country. On those rare occasions when donations exceed American Red Cross expenses for a specific disaster, contributions are used to prepare for and serve victims of other disasters.
