2013 CSFL Classic Day 1: Team Janzen Scores over 20 Pounds to Take Lead.

By Luigi De Rose

Cold temperatures, high winds and disappointment fell over the CSFL Classic qualifiers on the first day of the 2013 CSFL Classic. Extreme weather forced the closure of Lake Simcoe resulting in anglers limited to Lake Couchiching. Even under horrible fishing conditions, the air temp dropped over 30 degrees C in 48 hours,  these anglers proved why they are the best. Erny and Franklin Janzen bested them all with a 20.85 bag including the day's largest bass, a 5.85 brute.

Day 2 should see the wind diminish greatly but the damage might have already been done. We'll find out tomorrow if the wind and cold temperatures have spoiled Lake Simcoe.
