The star studded Walmart FLW Lake Champlain Open has been a whack fest. Regional pro anglers from America, Canada and Japan, including angling heroes from both Bassmaster and FLW tours have made this event a tournament of tournaments. Despite stiff wind, constant rain and a drop in air temps, anglers still caught them. No one caught then quite as well as Palestine angler, Gary Yamamoto. This legendary lure maker and creator of the Senko and Hula Grub, sacked 24-04 of largemouth to claim the lead on Day 1. Past Champlain winner, Dave Wolak was a close second with 22-08. The fishing was so fine that it took 18 pounds to claim 20th place today.
